The Lake Superior Community Health Center provides service to an area in Wisconsin, including the city of Superior and rural Douglas, Bayfield and Ashland counties. Clients of the Health Center are primarily low income and uninsured or underinsured. The service area has a population with over 40% living at or below the 200% poverty level.

Lake Superior Community Health Center
Established in 1972, the Lake Superior Community Health Center has grown from a one night per week "free clinic" into two full-time health care clinical sites providing comprehensive primary care. The Center's mission is to improve access, particularly financial access, to primary health care through the provision of clinical care, health education, screening, assisted referrals and advocacy.
